Hailing from South Sacramento, Blossom navigated through gang territories, drugs, poverty, and power struggles. She endured heartbreak, broken relationships, body shaming, and despair, internalizing early on the belief that, as an impoverished Black girl, her life choices were restricted. Despite these hardships, her engagement with poetry, education, street literacy, and faith allowed her to surpass low expectations, particularly those set by her teachers. Rather than succumbing to adversity, she blossomed into a Queen—raising her head, reclaiming her crown, and becoming the author of her own life.

“My story encompasses hope, love, self-discovery, grief, and survival—a narrative of a young Black girl who fought tenaciously to be her authentic self. Following a tumultuous relationship and becoming a mother, I transformed into a poet and queen. I seized control of my life and utilized poetry to heal my wounds, discovering freedom within the verses of my own creation," shares Blossom. She continues, “Although my journey to build my Queendom is ongoing because life is ever-changing, I wanted to share my evolving story to reassure other women that the seemingly impossible is achievable. Everything you seek is within you. Even if you're not where you aspire to be right now, that doesn't mean you won't arrive there. It's about laying one brick at a time while keeping your mind and heart focused on your Queendom, unveiling your purpose.”
